DCDC partners from the Gila River Indian Community provided in-depth background into the December 2004 Arizona Water Rights Settlement.

Gila River Indian Community Department of Environmemtal Quality conducted a 4-year project to determine the ecologicalcondition and potential for enhancement of the Community’s last continuously flowing river segment. The project examined hydrology (Surface and Ground Water Contribution), water quality and environmental contaminates (fish tissue and sediment), biological response (vegetation, fish, birds, and aquatic insects), and geomorphology (stream channel stability).
