I am a plant physiological ecologist and systems modeler. I conduct my research as a process modeler with a focus on carbon and water pools and fluxes. My interests are varied, but I have a strong background in forest production ecology and the controls governing the physiological and morphological responses of forest ecosystems to edaphic and climatic driving variables. More recently I have become interested in municipal water modeling and, specifically, the water quality and balance of the lower Colorado River basin with an emphasis on the Phoenix metropolitan area.
