Agenda
Goal of workshop
The goal of this workshop was to introduce the participants to ways in which
our limited water supply can be extended through technology and planning.
Participants learned about water recycling, sewersheds, salinity issues, grey
water, desalinization, retention basins, and backyard water harvesting. They
learned that using water more efficiently in the Phoenix area requires a lot of
planning and infrastructure and that power use and water supply are intricately
linked.
Resources from the Workshop The workshop had a wide variety of
guest speakers. To assist educators in bringing their experience to their
audiences, many of the presentations from the workshop are below and can be
used to enhance water education programs.
