Thanks to the assistance of the Central Arizona Project and the National Science Foundation for sponsoring this workshop.
Goal of workshop
The goal of this workshop was to enhance the participants' knowledge of water and climate
in the Southwest by focusing on how local water use and supply will be impacted by climate change.
Participants learned about current research on global climate change and possible urban and rural effects.
Climate change may affect how decisions on water use are made by individuals, governments and corporations.
Participants heard about decisions on water use at the industrial level from Intel Corporation and
about individual decisions based on Phoenix-area surveys. Finally, participants were introduced to
DCDC's new decision-making tool:

The workshop had a wide variety of guest speakers. To assist educators in bringing their experience to their audiences, many of the presentations from the workshop are below so that they can be used to enhance water education programs.
